What happens when one dies? Where do we go? Do our spirits wander to an ethereal plane of existence, or do we simply lie rotting in the ground? In every case, death is meant to be the end... or is it?
 
Derek Lander becomes the unlucky soul to witness the answer firsthand after he and his girlfriend are killed in a car crash on an afternoon drive on the freeway. Upon death, however, he finds himself being tasked by a godlike being to return to the world of the living to hunt monstrous spirits known as “Wraiths” that seek to erase all of existence.
 
Can he succeed, and if he does, what will it cost him? But most importantly, can he bring balance to both the forces of light and eternal darkness, or will he, along with so many others, be consumed in it, becoming just another wraith himself?
